Heat Man (or Heatman) is a Robot Master first appearing in Mega Man 2. He is one of the eight Robot Masters built by Dr. Wily to get revenge after his initial defeat in the first Mega Man, making him part of the first batch to be built entirely by Wily.
Heat Man's powers revolve around fire, with a design based on a mechanical lighter. Although his weapon is Atomic Fire - a large fireball that can be charged - he does not seem to use it in most of his appearances, resorting to other fire-themed attacks instead.

Mega Man 2
In Mega Man 2, Heat Man is one of the main bosses that can be selected from the start and the 4th listed on the stage select screen, in reading order. His stage takes place inside a red brick tunnel with lava flowing through it, though it contains no other fire-themed enemies or gimmicks and is instead notable for its use of appearing blocks.
In battle, Heat Man attacks by tossing flame pellets in groups of three, which fly in an arc and rise up into small pillars of fire when they hit the ground. He also immolates himself after every hit he takes, briefly becoming invincible before shifting into a form made of fire and darting across the room, allowing Mega Man to jump over him.
Heat Man is weak to Bubble Lead, which deals 6 damage to him, though he also takes 2 damage from the Air Shooter, Quick Boomerang, and Mega Buster. Defeating him does not only grant Mega Man the Atomic Fire, but also the utility weapon Item-1, a vertical lift platform, from Dr. Light.
Mega Man 3
Although Heat Man does not appear in person in Mega Man 3, a Doc Robot using his data acts as the second and final boss of Shadow Man's Doc Robot stage. He behaves similarly to the original Heat Man, apart from being larger. However, his fire form when moving is no bigger than in the original battle.
Like other Doc Robots, he has two notable weaknesses from this game's weapon pool, in this case taking 7 damage from Top Spin and 4 from Shadow Blade.
Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge
In Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, Heat Man is one of the Robot Masters fought in the teleporter room at the end of the first Dr. Wily stage. Like the other Robot Masters returning from Mega Man 2, he does not have his own stage, with the teleporter leading directly to his boss battle instead.
As with other Robot Masters in this second batch, Heat Man is completely immune to the weapons obtained from the first batch - 
Rolling Cutter, 
Thunder Beam, Ice Slasher and Fire Storm. He also no longer takes extra damage from the Mega Buster, though his other weapon weaknesses remain the same, taking 4 damage from Bubble Lead and 2 from Quick Boomerang. Despite the battle not ending the stage, Mega Man still receives the Atomic Fire weapon by defeating him.
Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters
Heat Man appears as a boss in Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, voiced by Hekiru Shiina[1] and looking as he does in his original artwork.
He retains his flame pellets from the original battle, but has gained new attacks, including throwing a large flame that crawls across the ground and shooting fireballs to both sides after briefly charging them up. He will also occasionally light himself on fire and fly across the room, though he retains his regular appearance while doing so instead of transforming into fire.

Other Apperances
In Mega Man 7, Heat Man is one of the Robot Masters that can be seen in the Robot Museum intermission stage. He appears in a glass case in the background, alongside others, and is the only robot representing Mega Man 2. The stage's music is also partially remixed from his original stage theme, alongside Snake Man's and Guts Man's themes.

Mega Man & Bass CD
Heat Man's CD in Mega Man & Bass is located in Burner Man Stage, the boss of which shares his fire theme. It is buried in one of the indoor sections, and can only be dug up by Rush Search.
Mega Man Legacy Collection Database
Heat Man appears under "Mega Man 2" in the Database in Mega Man Legacy Collection and is the first Robot Master listed for the game. Like other Robot Masters, he can be fought by pressing a designated button while viewing his data.
