Pharaoh Man (or Pharaohman) is a Robot Master first appearing in Mega Man 4 and is one of the eight Robot Masters originally built by Dr. Cossack.
As his name indicates, Pharaoh Man is based on an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, wearing a nemes headdress and a mouth covering resembling a mummy's bandages. His weapon, the Pharaoh Shot, allows him to throw balls of energy and also charge up a stronger attack, though the resulting shockwave appears very different from Mega Man using the weapon.
In the Games
Mega Man 4
In Mega Man 4, Pharaoh Man is one of the main eight Robot Master bosses and appears as the last choice (in reading order) on the stage select screen. His stage is set in a desert and pyramid, leading into his tomb chamber.
In battle, Pharaoh Man has several attacks; he can leap across the room and throw a ball at Mega Man, make two consecutive hops and throw a ball on each, or charge up for a stronger and larger shockwave, which travels forward in a straight line. Notably, he is the only boss in Mega Man 4 who is not fought on flat ground, as his boss room contains pyramid steps in the middle; however, this feature is absent when he is refought in Dr. Wily stage 3, changing the dynamics of the fight.
Pharaoh Man's weakness is the Flash Stopper from Bright Man, which deals no damage to him, but freezes him as though he were a minor enemy, allowing Mega Man to whittle him down with buster shots while he is defenceless. Defeating him grants Mega Man the Pharaoh Shot.
Battle Network era
Pharaoh Man has a Net Navi equivalent in PharaohMan.EXE, who resembles a floating sarcophagus more than a living pharaoh or mummy. He first appears as a hidden boss in Mega Man Battle Network and has no operator.
Other Media
1994 animated series
In the 1994 animated series, Pharaoh Man appears in the second episode, Electric Nightmare. His design is similar to the games, apart from his chestpiece being green instead of golden.
Throughout the episode, he accompanies Dr. Wily as the latter puts his plan to control the city's electronic devices into action, but he does not have a major role until the end, when Wily calls upon him as his trump card to avoid being captured by Mega Man at the governor's office. Pharaoh Man blasts Mega Man through a window and continues to fight him by a fountain outside, where Mega Man grabs his weapon arm to take his power. Undeterred, Pharaoh Man punches him in the face, but is blasted into the sky by the Pharaoh Shot.
His only quote is "So you command, so it shall be done", acknowledging Dr. Wily's orders.
