The X era is a fan-made term referring to media set in the fictional universe of Mega Man X, released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the second era of the universe's original timeline, being a sequel to the Classic era now set in the year 21XX, chronicling the chaos of the Maverick Wars waged between good Reploids such as X and Zero and evil ones known as Mavericks who are led by the fearsome Sigma.

In official Capcom material, this series is referred to as simply Mega Man X.
