Split Mushroom (スプリット・マシュラーム) is a Maverick from the X era, appearing as one of the main bosses in Mega Man X4. He is a clone-themed Reploid based on a mushroom, who attacks with clones of himself and dangerous spores. He is a decommissioned lab tech Reploid who was revived by Sigma.
In the Games
Mega Man X4

Split Mushroom debuted in Mega Man X4 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He serves as the boss of the Bio Laboratory stage. The game's Japanese manual states he was made to manage a biological laboratory, and was supposed to be decommissioned when his lab was closed, but Sigma reactivated him as the facility's mischievous guardian.[3]
Split Mushroom alternates between two attack patterns: launching light clones at the player, or running formations with an identical clone. Defeating Split Mushroom grants Soul Body to X, and Kuenbu and Kuenzan to Zero. His weakness is Lightning Web or Raijingeki from Web Spider, which fries him and resets his pattern. A boss attack rematch with Split Mushroom later occurs in Final Weapon 3.
Mega Man X DiVE
In Mega Man X DiVE, Irregular Data of Split Mushroom appears as a boss in Chapter 14 in Co-op Mode, being fought in Energen Crystal 14-2.

Other Media
- In the Rockman X4 manga, Split Mushroom reprises his role from Mega Man X4.
- In the Archie Mega Man comic, Split Mushroom appears in the "Worlds Unite" arc as one of the Mavericks resurrected in Sigma's army.
