Snipe Anteator, known as Snipe Ariquick (スナイプ・アリクイック) in Japan, is a Maverick from the X era, appearing as one of the main bosses in Mega Man X7. He is a missile-themed Reploid based on an anteater, who fights with homing missiles and ant-shaped drones. He is a member of the vigilante syndicate Red Alert.
In the Games
Mega Man X7
Snipe Anteator debuted in Mega Man X7 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He is an elderly soul who challenges the Maverick Hunters from a digital maze, serving as the boss of the Cyber Field stage. He steadily acquires data during the battle, gaining more missiles, lasers, and drones over time. Defeating Snipe Anteator grants Sniper Missile to Axl and X, and Hieijin to Zero. His weakness is the Moving Wheel or Zankourin from Ride Boarski, which deals increased damage. A boss attack rematch with Snipe Anteator later occurs in the Crimson Palace.
Other Media
- In Rockman X7 4Koma Manga Kingdom, Snipe Anteator reprises his role from Mega Man X7.
- In the Archie Mega Man comic, Snipe Anteator appears in the "Worlds Unite" arc as one of the Mavericks resurrected in Sigma's army.

Behind the Scenes
Developer Commentary
- "This is a character that equips parts as he takes damage, so he has joints all over his body. (By the way, this art is the final form). His chest armor actually has an ant's face on it. When I saw him in the game, I was surprised to see that he was an old man." - (Concept Art Room)[3]
