Wind Crowrang, known as Wind Karasting (ウィンド・カラスティング) in Japan, is a Maverick from the X era, appearing as one of the main bosses in Mega Man X7. He is a wind-themed Reploid based on a crow, who attacks with beam daggers and his flight abilities. He is a member of the vigilante syndicate Red Alert.
Wind Crowrang debuted in Mega Man X7 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He is a member of Red Alert who occupies the skies in an airship, serving as the boss of the Air Forces stage. He attacks with projectiles from the background before getting up close and personal with his daggers. Defeating Wind Crowrang grants Wind Cutter to Axl and X, and the V Hanger and Souenbu to Zero. His weakness is the Sniper Missile or Hieijin from Snipe Anteator, which briefly stuns him. A boss attack rematch with Wind Crowrang later occurs in the Crimson Palace.

Behind the Scenes
Developer Commentary
"I like how the pattern on his feet resembles scales. Once I added the hexagonal prism to his head, the design of each part came together quickly. I'm so happy that he was given such a nice name. It's small and hard to see during the game, but his model has a skull on his chest too." - (Concept Art Room)[3]
