Infinity Mijinion debuted in Mega Man X6 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He serves as the boss of the Weapon Center, observing the Nightmare-awoken Illumina. He was built by Gate as a test pilot for manned weapons, possessing optic fibers that gave him incredible data processing capacity. He proved arrogant and reckless when testing weaponry, causing a rift between himself and his staff, which eventually led to him being disposed of in a staged accident. However, he was later resurrected by Gate to serve as a Nightmare Investigator.[2]

Infinity Mijinion floats around the arena firing lasers, and splits into clones of himself when attacked, which can quickly become overwhelming. Defeating Mijinion grants Ray Arrow to X and Rekkoha to Zero. His weakness is the Guard Shell from Shield Sheldon, which sends him flying. A boss attack rematch with Infinity Mijinion later occurs in the ?????? stage.

Other Game Appearances

Other Media

  • In the Archie Mega Man comic, Infinity Mijinion appears in the "Worlds Unite" arc as one of the Mavericks resurrected in Sigma's army.

Developer Commentary

"I guess it's because we had made it to the sixth title in the series, but we got into some pretty unusual themes for our boss characters, like scarabs and water fleas. From a designer's perspective, it seemed like a fun idea." - (Haruki Suetsugu)[1]
