Bit, known as Vajurila FF (ヴァジュリーラFF) in Japan, is a character and antagonist in the X era, serving as a boss in Mega Man X3. He is a Reploid created by Dr. Doppler to protect Dopple Town as part of the Nightmare Police, alongside his partner Byte.
Bit is distinguished by his noble yellow armor, with red, orange, and blue decals inspired by East Asian spiritualism.
In the Games
Mega Man X3
In Mega Man X3, Bit first shows himself in the cutscene that plays after the player destroys two Maverick bosses. Dr. Doppler orders Bit and Byte to capture X for him, preferably alive, and they loyally depart.
After this cutscene, Bit may randomly appear as a mid-boss in the third, fourth, or fifth Maverick stage X visits. Defeating Bit normally causes him to retreat and stop appearing. However, if the player lands the final blow using his weakness (Frost Shield or Triad Thunder), Bit explodes upon his defeat and is destroyed. This stops him from appearing in Doppler Stage A later in the game.
If Bit retreats, he returns at the end of Doppler Stage A. Regardless of whether or not Byte was destroyed, Bit transforms his body into Godkarmachine O Inary, having been upgraded by Dr. Doppler to defeat X. Once the player destroys Godkarmachine, Bit perishes in the process.
Mega Man X DiVE
In Mega Man X DiVE, Bit appears as both a Hunter Program and as Maverick Data bosses. As a Hunter Program, his Active Skills are Forward Slash and Bind Ring. In the game's Story mode, he is fought as a boss twice. The first time is his base form in Chapter 9 in Cyber Space 9-6, and his defeat unlocks the Chip for Bind Ring. The second time is him wielding his shield, in Chapter 13 in Snow Base 13-6.
A Christmas-themed variant of Bit, called Christmas Bit, appeared as a boss in the Christmas 2020 Event, "Merry Christmas!".

Trivia
- Bit's design is heavily inspired by East Asian culture and religions, including Shinto and Hinduism.
- His original Japanese name, Vajurila FF, is derived from the Sanskrit term "vajra" meaning a legendary weapon representing the durability of diamonds and the force of lightning.
- His forehead and chest feature the Shinto magatama talismans.
- His helmet is adorned with four orbs, two on either side, evocative of the ancient Japanese mizura hairstyle.
- His shield is modeled after the decorative Japanese dōtaku bells.
- His weaknesses may reference the battle of the Shinto gods Takemikazuchi and Takeminakata, which is believed to be the origin of sumo. Takemikazuchi was the god of lightning and swords (bringing to mind Triad Thunder), and according to legend, he transformed his arm into an icicle while wrestling Takeminakata (bringing to mind Frost Shield) to evade him.
- Bit's armor highly resembles the MS-14A Gelgoog from Mobile Suit Gundam, especially in the pronged shoulders and wide faulds.
