Bamboo Pandamonium debuted in Mega Man X8 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He is a new generation Reploid who rebels by refusing to leave the overgrown ruins of a rocket center to collect data for Sigma, serving as the boss of the Booster Forest stage. He attacks with his giant size and claws, and can erect bamboo barriers and fire explosives. Defeating Bamboo Pandamonium grants Green Spinner to X, Youdantotsu to Zero, and Blast Launcher to Axl. His weakness is the Melt Creeper, Enkoujin, or Flame Burner from Burn Rooster, which briefly sets him on fire. A boss attack rematch with Bamboo Pandamonium later occurs in the Gateway stage.

Nomenclature

Language Name Origin
Japanese Bamboo Pandemonium (バンブー・パンデモニウム) Pandamonium is a pun on "panda" and "pandemonium", a word which means chaos or disorder, but originates as the name of the capital of hell in John Milton's poem Paradise Lost, from which Mega Man X8 takes inspiration.
English Bamboo Pandamonium
