Mega Water-S (メガウォーターS) is an amphibious Robot Master that has an appearance based off of a Kappa, a creature from Japanese folklore. He is based off a character who is a Kappa from the Chinese novel Journey to the West, named Sha Wujing. Mega Water-S is a member of the Genisis Unit, and the smartest of them. He is the mastermind behind their plans, but he lacks confidence in himself. He has antipathy towards Buster Rod-G.

Mega Water-S is a Kikokushijo expatriate and due to this, he has a strange Japanese accent. As he is based off a Kappa, he likes them and dislikes raw fish. (However, his localized CD data contradicts this, stating that he likes sashimi, which is a Japanese dish that contains raw fish.).

Mega Man Megamix

Mega Water-S's main weapon is a spear gun that has a secondary attack of shooting pressurized water. This weapon is built to withstand the pressure of firing off these shots, leading to Mega Water-S being able to use this feature on land and in the sea. Mega Water-S also has a defense mechanism similar to Bubble Lead, which surrounds Mega Water-S with many layers of bubbles to produce a barrier that helps protect him from damage. Along with the barrier surrounding his body, Mega Water-S uses a liquid inside of his body to help withstand water pressure. Due to the internal liquid, Mega Water-S is weak to icy weapons, as the expanding of his internal liquid causes damage to him from the inside.

Mega Water-S also appears in the last story from Mega Man Gigantamix and has a small cameo in a side story called "Mega Gandhara".

Mega Man (Archie Comics)

Mega Water-S's first appearance was in issue 20, where Dr. Wily, the Genesis Unit and the Mega Man Killers invade the Chronos Institute in an event that will happen again in the future. During the Worlds Collide crossover, Mega Water-S joined the rest of the Genesis Unit and the Copy Robot in attacking a party led by Mega Man and Sonic the Hedgehog. Mega Water-S was defeated by Proto Man, but ended up being the last of his teammates standing. The Genesis Unit, including Mega Water-S, were completely destroyed by Mega Man beforehand, down to their IC chips. However due to the Skull Egg Zone causing time fluctuations, the Genesis Unit was "revived". Mega Water-S later returned as a part of a large army composed of Robot Masters to defend the Wily Egg, however he was defeated again. Due to Mega Man's reversal of the Genesis Wave, these events were undone.
