Old Castle Stage (古城ステージ)[2][3] is Shade Man's stage in Mega Man 7.

Astro Zombieg A zombie that shambles around at one of two speeds. It may jump from behind background scenery or emerge from coffins, which rise from the ground or are stationary and open when Mega Man comes near. It loses its head when damaged and may lose limbs or collapse over time or when it walks into walls. 4 2 Old Castle Stage
Ragger Disguises itself as a helmet on a suit of armour in the background. When Mega Man comes close, it springs into action, hopping around and tossing the cutter blade on its helmet like a boomerang that deflects shots. 4 1 (contact)

Batton M48 A bat that hangs from the ceiling and wakes up when Mega Man comes near, then chases after him. If it touches him, it flies back onto the ceiling. Can only be harmed while it is awake or by using Danger Wrap. 2 2 Old Castle Stage, Wily Stage 2
Gilliam Knight A knight on a uniwheel. It moves left and right, but speeds up and gives chase if it spots Mega Man, jumping at the edges of platforms. If a full moon is visible, it transforms into a werewolf, which moves by leaping or pouncing and is very durable, but turns back into a knight if the moon is covered. 2 (knight)

True Shield Attacker Flies left and right within a set range and can only be harmed by attacking from behind. It deals more damage if touched from the front. 4 3 (front)

Mega Man can either shoot its core while it is open, or attack the eyes of the shell while it is closed; both have a separate health pool, and a different path through the stage will open depending on which of them is destroyed. 16 4 (contact)

Old Castle Stage
Proto Man File:MM7 - Proto Man.png A secret miniboss that can only be fought if Mega Man has previously found Proto Man in Weather Institute Stage and Giant Trailer Stage. He can dash across the room, fire three buster shots in a row, fire a charged shot, or jump three times while shooting, firing in a radial pattern on the final jump. Attacking him with charged Mega Buster shots can lock him into only attacking with charged shots himself.

After defeating Proto Man, Mega Man obtains the Proto Shield.
