Dr. Cossack's Citadel,[1][2] also known as Cossack Castle (コサック城),[3] is Dr. Cossack's fortress in Mega Man 4, and the location of the four Cossack Stages.

Once all eight of the Robot Masters on the Stage Select screen are defeated, Mega Man can travel to Dr. Cossack's Citadel to finish the conflict. However, upon defeating Dr. Cossack and his Cossack Catcher, Proto Man reveals that Cossack was being blackmailed with Kalinka by Dr. Wily, who is the true villain. The game's Wily Castle then becomes available. The ending shows Cossack's Citadel exploding instead, possibly an error.

In Mega Man 4, Mega Man can enter the citadel after defeating the game's eight Robot Masters and selecting Dr. Cossack's portrait in the centre of the stage select screen.

The citadel is depicted on the map screen as a castle with blue outer walls, green inner walls and a central onion dome tower that evokes those of Saint Basil's Cathedral. Like many fortresses in the Classic era, it is divided into four unnamed stages, each with a boss at the end.
