Ragger[1] is an enemy appearing in Mega Man 7. It is an orange and green (blue in its artwork) helmet with eyes and short limbs, able to disguise itself as an inanimate part of a suit of armour.
In the Games
Mega Man 7
In Mega Man 7, Raggers appear in a single room of Shade Man's stage, disguised as the helmets of suits of armour in the background. When Mega Man stands very close to the suit, the helmet falls off, stretches its limbs and opens its eyes, revealing itself to be a Ragger that is instantly able to deal contact damage if Mega Man is not prepared for it.
Once exposed, the Ragger throws the blade on its helmet as a cutter boomerang, which deflects shots and returns to it in an upwards loop. After attacking, it makes a small jump backwards, attacks again, then jumps forward again, repeating the pattern and making no attempt to pursue Mega Man if he moves away. It can only be harmed after its eyes are open, unless using Danger Wrap.
Trivia
- Ragger bears similarities to the common enemy Sir Kibble from the Kirby series, both in its general design and using the blade on its helmet as a boomerang.
