Minor Enemies
Name | Sprite | Description | HP | Damage | Stage(s) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Aloha Dodonpa | A cannon hidden under a palm tree. When Mega Man approaches, it reveals itself and stats shooting straight forward at a slow rate. The tree must be destroyed separately, and Mega Man can stand on the cannon once the tree is gone. | 3 (cannon) 6 (tree) |
4 (contact) 3 (projectiles) |
Opening stage | |
Ammoner | An ammonite that lashes at Mega Man with its tentacles on land or swims back and forth in water. It can be shot to push it around and can roll down slopes and squash other enemies, but is destroyed if it falls on non-sloped ground. Attacking its exposed side instantly makes it retreat into its shell and drop. | N/A | 4 | Opening stage, Aqua Man's stage | |
Batton M64 | A bat that sometimes starts on the ceiling and takes some time to wake up, then chases Mega Man. Unlike other Batton versions, it does not return to the ceiling, and also has the ability to turn into a drill and quickly drop down. Can only be harmed while it is awake and not in drill form. | 1 | 2 (normal), 4 (falling), 3 (static drill) | Frost Man's stage, Grenade Man's stage, Sword Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 2 | |
Batton Mommy and Petit Batton | A Batton M64 that is found around Petit Battons, smaller versions of itself that follow it around. Both the Mommy and Petit Battons can launch themselves forward as a drill, rather than dropping down. | 1 | 3 | Sword Man's stage | |
Big Telly | A giant Telly R that flies forward and swoops down, dropping many bombs before going up again and stopping. Some will release two regular Telly Rs when they stop. | 4 | 5 (contact) 3 (bomb) |
Frost Man's stage, Grenade Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Brambles | A stationary, thorny metal vine that deflects shots and harms Mega Man on contact. The Flame Sword can destroy it, though it will respawn like other enemies. | 1 | 3 | Search Man's stage | |
Bunby Tank DX | Drives left and right and periodically stops to turn towards Mega Man and fire two rockets forward if he is near. Its body and head have a separate health pool - if the body is destroyed first, its head separates as a flying Bunby Top DX, which follows Mega Man. | 4 (body) 3 (top) 1 (rockets) |
4 (contact) 3 (rockets) |
Opening stage, Frost Man's stage, Clown Man's stage, Search Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Bunby Top DX | The head of a Bunby Tank DX that separates after its body is destroyed. It slowly follows Mega Man, periodically stopping. The Tops appear by themselves in the Rush Jet section of Tengu Man's stage, spawning from hatches and flying towards Mega Man. |
3 | 4 | Opening stage, Tengu Man's stage, Frost Man's stage, Clown Man's stage, Search Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Cline B | A Chinese dragon that wiggles across the screen in certain pattern in the Rush Jet sections. Destroying any segment other than the head cuts off its tail at that point, but focusing on the head destroys it fully. | 9 (head) 2 (segment) |
6 | Tengu Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 2 | |
Cline G | A Chinese dragon that wiggles towards Mega Man in the Rush Jet sections. If left intact for too long, it curls up and self-destructs, sending its harmful body segments flying. Destroying any segment other than the head cuts off its tail at that point, but focusing on the head destroys it fully. | 9 (head) 2 (segment) |
6 | Tengu Man's stage | |
Count Bomb CD | A red Count Bomb GEO that sprout legs and falls down when activated, walking around until it explodes. | N/A | 6 (explosion) | Grenade Man's stage, Aqua Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Count Bomb GEO | A stationary platform that slowly counts down when Mega Man steps on its pressure plate and explodes when the counter reaches zero. | N/A | 6 (explosion) | Grenade Man's stage, Aqua Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Crunchran | An enemy that resembles a moving hole, which glides across the ground and follows Mega Man. When he is on top, a crocodile maw comes out and snaps at him. Most weapons can only hit it during its brief attack animation. | 1 | 6 | Astro Man's stage | |
Dodonpa Cannon | A stationary cannon that can turn and fire at various angles. The cannonballs fly in an arc and can be destroyed. | 3 (contact) 1 (cannonball) |
4 (contact) 3 (cannonball) |
Tengu Man's stage, Clown Man's stage, Grenade Man's stage, Duo's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1, Dr. Wily stage 2 | |
Fire Metall | A Metall with a flame on its head. It simply walks forward, jumping off platforms when it gets to the edge. If it walks past a fuse in Grenade Man's stage, the fuse is lit, potentially blowing up the bomb blocks it is attached to. | 3 | 4 | Grenade Man's stage, Sword Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1 | |
Goriblue | A stationary, gorilla-like enemy that periodically throws bombs at Mega Man in an arc, which explode harmlessly on the ground. If Mega Man is in the air, it will throw in a lower arc. The bombs can be destroyed by damage. | 6 (Goriblue) 1 (bombs) |
6 (contact) 4 (bomb) |
Search Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Gorigree | A stationary, gorilla-like enemy that periodically throws spike balls at Mega Man, which are always thrown in a low arc and explode harmlessly when they touch something. They can be destroyed by damage, but have more health than the Goriblue's bombs. | 6 (Gorigree) 2 (spike ball) |
6 (contact) 4 (spike ball) |
Search Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Gorigro | A stationary, gorilla-like enemy that drops a rock in front of it, then starts throwing bombs diagonally downward, which explode harmlessly when they hit a wall. The rock can be stood on, and both rock and bombs can be destroyed by damage. | 6 (Gorigro) 1 (bombs) 6 (rock) |
6 (contact) 4 (bomb) 4 (rock) |
Search Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Hannya Attacker | A Shield Attacker with a hannya mask. Flies left and right within a set range and can only be harmed by attacking from behind. Groups of them appear in the Rush Jet sections, flying in from the right and sometimes making a bend as they leave again. | 3 | 5 | Tengu Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 2 | |
Hogale | A giant whale airship with different behaviours. In Frost Man's stage, it hovers in place and drops blocks, which are then knocked forward by machines on the ground. In Tengu Man's stage, it flies across and drops large numbers of Metall SVs. In the Rush Jet sections, Hogales appear suddenly from above or below, stop in place and release many Tencrows from their mouth, then fly forward to ram Mega Man. |
10 | 6 (contact) 8 (blocks) |
Tengu Man's stage, Frost Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 2 | |
Joe Classic | A Joe with a shield like the traditional Sniper Joe, which protects its front. It may shoot forward, jump up at random, or lob a grenade and wait for it to explode, putting its shield away during any of these. It can be hurt from above or below with special weapons, and the Arrow Shot or Laser Shot upgrade for the Mega Buster can penetrate its shield. | 5 (Joe) 1 (grenade) |
6 (contact) 3 (projectile) 5 (grenade) |
Clown Man's stage, Grenade Man's stage, Duo's stage, Aqua Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 2, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Kaizock | A stubby pirate robot that walks forward, walking off platforms and stopping at walls before turning around. Some hang from the ceiling on one arm, swinging back and forth and launching barrages of small pirate birds forward. | 2 (Kaizock) 1 (birds) |
4 (contact) 2 (birds) |
Clown Man's stage | |
Kao De Kāna | Stone statue heads on tank tracks that drive left and right. They are often dropped in small groups from hatches on the ceiling, either automatically or if a certain switch is stepped on. | 2 | 3 | Sword Man's stage | |
Kao Ga Mēda | A tall, mallet-like contraption with a single eye that resides in lava. It remains in the background, but can move to the platform Mega Man is standing on and slam down on it, briefly causing it to sink into the lava. It deals no direct damage to Mega Man, and shots go past it. | N/A | N/A | Sword Man's stage | |
Kao Na Gāna | Totem-like statues with a flame on top that periodically turn around to spit fire forward. Some erupt into an instant-kill lava stream upwards instead. Ice Wave can freeze them temporarily, which also destroys the lava streams. | 6 | 6 (flame) 4 (fire projectile) |
Sword Man's stage | |
Kemumakin | A harmless enemy that flies across the screen in an arc, releasing coloured smoke that obscures part of the action. Comes in three colours. | 2 | N/A | Tengu Man's stage, Frost Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1 | |
Kikyoon | A small flying fortress piloted by Rompers. It flies overhead and occasionally drops capsules with Rompers inside, which open up after a short time. The balloons and platform have a separate set of hitpoints, though only one needs to be destroyed. | 5 | 3 | Clown Man's stage | |
Metall SV | Hides under its helmet until Mega Man comes near, then shoots bullets in three directions and wanders around, hiding again after some time or when Mega Man leaves. It is invulnerable while hiding. | 1 | 3 (contact) 3 (projectiles) |

Monopellan | A helicopter enemy that hovers up and down in place or within in a set horizontal range, aiming and shooting at Mega Man. | 2 | 4 (contact) 3 (projectile) |
Tengu Man's stage, Clown Man's stage, Grenade Man's stage, Duo's stage, Astro Man's stage, Aqua Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1 | |
Muragattori | A robotic bird that flies in a sine wave pattern. They spawn infinitely in some areas. | 1 | 3 | Search Man's stage | |
Onbuubattan | A grasshopper carrying a smaller one. They jump around together, but destroying one may leave the other intact. They are flat and difficult to hit while on the ground. | 2 (big) 1 (small) |
3 | Astro Man's stage, Search Man's stage | |
Penpen EV | A penguin that spins in place on the ground, then quickly slides forward, slowing down until it stops and spins again. Mega Man's shots can knock it around. | 4 | 3 | Frost Man's stage | |
Potom | A ceiling-mounted cannon that shoots slime downwards, which remains as a puddle on the floor that lingers for a short time. The puddle does not harm Mega Man, but he can get stuck in it. Two variations exist: a stationary one (Potom No. 1) and a moving one (Potom No. 2). | 3 | 1 (contact) | Astro Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 3 | |
Propeller mine | A spiky mine that floats in the air with a propeller. Some are stationary, while others fly back and forth in a certain range. Deflects shots and cannot be destroyed. | N/A | 8 | Tengu Man's stage, Search Man's stage, Aqua Man's stage | |
Rabbiton | An ice-skating rabbit robot that slides along the ground in the auto-scrolling ski sections, pirouetting occasionally. | 3 | 3 | Frost Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 1 | |
Rompers | Small toy soldiers that latch on to Mega Man, temporarily immobilising him and draining his energy. | 1 | 1 per tick | Clown Man's stage | |
Shell'n | A clam that periodically opens up to release three bubbles, which go forward a bit and float up. It is only vulnerable while attacking, and only by hitting its pearl from the front. | 4 (Shell'n) 1 (bubbles) |
3 | Aqua Man's stage | |
Shupponpon | A toy train that emerges from tunnels and rides along rails, destroying other enemies in its way. Mega Man can stand on its roof, allowing him to cross rails that he would otherwise fall through, but other parts of the train are dangerous to touch. The Flame Sword can destroy it. | N/A | 5 | Clown Man's stage | |
Shururun | A robot that jumps straight up from pits at regular intervals. It respawns infinitely, no matter how many are destroyed. | 1 | 3 | Grenade Man's stage, Astro Man's stage, Dr. Wily stage 2 | |

Gorone | A giant turtle that is fought on log platforms while endlessly falling down a waterfall. It regularly appears from the background and tries to either stay above Mega Man to drop a bomb on him, or stay next to him and launch a fist sideways, eventually disappearing back behind the waterfall in both cases. Either attack can destroy the falling log platforms. | 20 | 5 (contact) 5 (fist) 4 (bombs) |
Aqua Man's stage | |
Shiriko da Gama | A large, armoured turret that appears in the Rush Jet section of Tengu Man's stage.
