Jet Buton[1] is an enemy appearing in Mega Man 6. Like Heli Buton, it is a flying robot based on a Japanese rhinoceros beetle, though it is lavender-coloured and possesses a pair of wings on its back instead of a propeller. Despite this, it does not primarily use them for flight, its actual means of propulsion being the jet engine attached to its rear.
In the Games
Mega Man 6
In Mega Man 6, Jet Butons appear in the final section of the Forgotten Area (Plant Man) stage. Rather than relying on camouflage like their hovering cousins, Jet Butons appear from the edge of the screen and quickly zoom across in a straight line with no warning, giving Mega Man little time to jump out of the way or destroy the enemy. They are often placed over pits or combined with other enemies, making them dangerous foes despite their simple manner of attack.
Official Data
Jet Buton appears under "Mega Man 6" in the Database in Mega Man Legacy Collection.

Trivia
- Jet Buton's name, just like Heli Buton's, likely comes kabutomushi (カブトムシ or 甲虫), the Japanese name for rhinoceros beetles.
