Acid Burst, known as Acid Rush (アシッドラッシュ) in Japan, is a Special Weapon appearing in Mega Man X3. It is obtained by defeating Toxic Seahorse. It gives X a green and yellow palette, and shoots an acid ball that bursts into droplets on contact.

In Mega Man X3, Acid Burst is obtained by defeating Toxic Seahorse. X fires a ball of acid; when the ball hits a wall or enemy, it bursts into four droplets that fall to the ground. The ball can be aimed up or down by holding the respective direction while firing. Every enemy destroyed by Acid Burst is also guaranteed to drop a Weapon Energy item. However, because it is a liquid, it is rendered useless underwater because the acid immediately dissipates. Seahorse uses Acid Burst as an attack in his boss battle too, throwing a ball of acid that bounces off of walls until it bursts into droplets on the ceiling.

Acid Burst deals 1 damage to enemies; both the initial ball and its droplets deal the same amount, except against a boss who is weak to it, in which case the droplets are weaker. It is strong against Tunnel Rhino and Dr. Doppler; it deals 3 damage to both (2 for droplets) and will briefly stun Rhino. It costs 1 Weapon Energy to fire.

Acid Burst's Charge Shot shoots two acid balls which bounce along the ground, following nearby targets and creating splashes of acid on each bounce. This is similar to Toxic Seahorse's Bounce Acid Ball attack. It deals 2 damage and costs 2 Weapon Energy.
