X era
Zero debuted in Mega Man X, where he has lost his memory and instead works as a skilled SA-Class Maverick Hunter. He befriends X and constantly fights against the evil Sigma, learning more about his past along the way.
Zero era
Some time after the X era, Zero sealed himself away. He is awakened by Ciel centuries later in the Zero era, having lost most of his memories. He faces the new threat of Neo Arcadia and relearns his past role in the mysterious Elf Wars. By the end, he is willing to sacrifice his life to stop Dr. Weil and free humans and Reploids alike.
