Neon Tiger, known as Shining Tigerd (シャイニング・タイガード) in Japan, is a Maverick from the X era, appearing as one of the main bosses in Mega Man X3. He is a light-themed Reploid based on a tiger, who ambushes targets with his beam claws and light shots. He was formerly a poacher hunter in Dopple Town before he was infected by the Sigma Virus.

Neon Tiger debuts in Mega Man X3 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He is a poacher hunter in the Dopple Town safari park who was infected by the Sigma Virus, and serves as the boss of Safari Park Stage. He attacks from the walls, and while he isn't too fast, his attacks can be difficult to avoid. Defeating Neon Tiger grants X the Ray Splasher. His weakness is the Spinning Blade, from Crush Crawfish, which stuns him and makes him retreat to a wall. A boss attack rematch with Neon Tiger later occurs in Doppler Stage C.

In Mega Man Xtreme 2, Neon Tiger returns as a resurrected Maverick guardian of Laguz Island. He is one of the four bosses in X Mission, being the boss of Template:MMXIILink. He has new Special Weapons for X and Zero: Ray Claw and Rising, respectively. He is weak to Tornado Fang and Drill Crush. Neon Tiger is later part of the boss attack in the Template:MMXIILink in Extreme Mode.

Unlike most Reploids, Tiger is no stranger to fighting against humans; he was designed to hunt down poachers threatening the world's few remaining wild animals.
Since he is solar-powered, he can operate indefinitely without an external power source, and his wickedly-sharp claws and extreme speed make him a tough enemy. To defeat him, you'll have to fight blades with blades!
