Gigabolt Man-O-War, known as Gigabolt Dokragen (ギガボルト・ドクラーゲン)[6] in Japan, is a Maverick from the X era, appearing as one of the main bosses in Mega Man X8. He is an electricity-themed Reploid based on a man-of-war, who attacks with jellyfish drones and lightning. He is a new generation Reploid who worked in power supply maintenance for a city called Megalopolis.

Gigabolt Man-O-War debuts in Mega Man X8 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He is a new generation Reploid who rebels by taking over a military facility to manufacture weapons for the rebellion, serving as the boss of the Pitch Black stage. He attacks by hanging from the walls and launching blades, and can grab the player and devour their energy. Defeating Gigabolt Man-O-War grants Shadow Runner to X, Rasetsusen to Zero, and Black Arrow to Axl. His weakness is the Shining Ray, Tenshouha, or Ray Gun from Optic Sunflower, which briefly stuns him. A boss attack rematch with Gigabolt Man-O-War later occurs in the Gateway stage.

| English | Gigabolt Man-O-War / Gigavolt Man-o-war | "Man-O-War" refers to the man-of-war, a jellyfish-like hydrozoan. There is some inconsistency in his English name. In Japanese translation, the "b" sound is often used in place of the English "v" sound, leading to different outcomes. As neither option was settled on, most text in Mega Man X8 calls him Gigabolt, while the game's cutscenes call him Gigavolt instead. |
