Blizzard Wolfang (ブリザード・ヴォルファング) is a Maverick from the X era, appearing as one of the main bosses in Mega Man X6. He is an ice-themed Reploid based on a wolf, who attacks with giant snowballs and sharp icicles. He is a former sub-zero land development worker who is now part of the Nightmare Investigators.
In the Games
Mega Man X6
Blizzard Wolfang debuts in Mega Man X6 as one of the eight Mavericks on the Stage Select screen. He was built by Gate to operate in the cold, and led a research team in the North Pole Area. His team was attacked by Mavericks, and although he defeated them, his colleagues perished. Researchers who opposed Gate used the opportunity to frame Wolfang, and tricked Alia into disposing of him by knocking him into the icy sea. However, he was later resurrected by Gate to serve as a Nightmare Investigator.[1]
Blizzard Wolfang serves as the boss of the North Pole Area, observing the Nightmare Ice. He pounces at the player while firing snowballs and generating icicles on surfaces. Defeating Blizzard Wolfang grants Ice Burst to X and Hyoroga to Zero. His weakness is the Magma Blade or Shoenzan from Blaze Heatnix, which briefly stuns him. A boss attack rematch with Blizzard Wolfang later occurs in the ?????? stage.
