Killer Bomb,[1] also known as Killer Bullet,[2] is an enemy first appearing in the original Mega Man. It is a black, flying rocket or bullet with a face painted on, which explodes when destroyed.
In the Games
Mega Man
In Mega Man, Killer Bombs appear prominently in Bomb Man's stage, but are also found in Fire Man Stage and Dr. Wily stage 1 and 2, as well as the underwater section of Dr. Wily stage 3. They appear endlessly from the right side of the screen as long as Mega Man is near their spawn point, coming in at his vertical position and flying towards the other side of the screen in a wave motion similar to Pepe. However, no more than one Killer Bomb will usually spawn at once.
True to their name, if Mega Man shoots at a Killer Bomb, it will explode in a similar radius to the Hyper Bomb, damaging Mega Man if he is too close to the explosion. The explosion does 4 points of damage, while contact with the bullet itself deals 3, so if Mega Man is about to get hit, he can mitigate some damage by not shooting it.
