CRORQ is a Fortress Boss who first appeared in Mega Man (DOS). It is a highly advanced supercomputer stolen by Dr. Wily and reprogrammed. In the sequel, Mega Man 3 (DOS), it was again used by Dr. Wily to cover up his involvement in numerous robots going berserk. It is also able to be rode inside of, with a laser cannon mounted on the underside of the chassis, and frog-like legs.
In the Games
Mega Man
In Mega Man (DOS), CRORQ is the final boss, fought at the end of Wily's Stage (DOS) in a control room. It is painted cyan, with red-and-blue legs, and a 'face' not too dissimilar to a CRT on the front, with two red eyes on it. It has two phases and two corresponding lifebars. In the first phase, it walks slowly towards Mega Man, turning when he jumps over it. Periodically, it will fire three bullets at Mega Man - The first bullet diagonally downward, the second directly forward, and the third diagonally upward. When the first lifebar is depleted, Dr. Wily is revealed to be piloting the machine. No change happens in the attack pattern.
It is weak to the Sonic Wave in the first phase, and the Force Field in the second.
Mega Man 3
In Mega Man 3 (DOS), CRORQ is the penultimate boss, fought after Torch Man in Wily's Stage (3 DOS). Following its destruction in the previous game, it was rebuilt with a new design: It is now predominantly yellow, with the replacement of the face with a glass cockpit that juts outwards. It slowly moves towards Mega Man, turning around after a brief delay when he jumps over it. It fires lasers similar in appearance to the reactor rods in the next room in a three-way pattern.
It is weak to the Bit Cannon.
