The Japan-only sourcebook Compendium of Rockman X includes Boss Files on every boss from Mega Man X to Mega Man X7. The book has never been officially translated into English, so this page features fan translations done by volunteers at the Mega Man Wiki.

Weapon: Shotgun Ice Weakness: Fire Wave
Profile: A Reploid designed for cold regions, formerly of the 13th Polar Unit. He destroyed the Reploid who was his superior and escaped to join Sigma's rebellion. He specializes in ice attacks and snowstorms.
Attack: Effect:
Shotgun Ice Spits several horizontal ice shots in a row.
Ice Sculpture Creates two ice statues. If the breath hits X, it freezes him too.
Blizzard Hangs from the ceiling, causing a snowstorm that pushes any remaining ice sculptures.
Sliding Dashes by sliding on his belly.

Weapon: Electric Spark Weakness: Shotgun Ice
Profile: A Reploid from the same 17th Unit as X. When his commander Sigma rebelled, he simply followed him. He shuts down the power plant to secure an exclusive energy supply.

Dash Punch Punch attack that moves forwards. Flinches if hit by a Charge Shot.
Electric Spark Electric discharge that travels along the floor and walls.
Ceiling Climb Moves by hanging from the ceiling and climbing across the arena.

Profile: Former commander of 8th Armored Unit. He is a warrior with a durable skin who unconditionally follows the orders of his superiors. When he joined Sigma, he relinquished command of his Hunter unit and took over a mine for its mineral resources.
Attack: Effect:
Tackle Rolls up his body and dashes, bouncing off of surfaces.
Rapid-Fire Shot Fires several shots from the cannon on his head.
Guard Protects himself from Charge Shots, then counterattacks with a spread shot.

Weapon: Homing Torpedo Weakness: Rolling Shield
Profile: A Reploid from the 6th Naval Unit. He always disliked protecting the humans because of their weakness, and after sympathizing with Sigma he ended up participating in the rebellion. He attacks maritime cities and blocks shipping routes.

Piranha Shoots four homing piranhas.

Weapon: Chameleon Sting Weakness: Boomerang Cutter
Profile: A Reploid from the 9th Special Unit (Rangers). Despite his skills, he could never become a commander due to his bad reputation, so he saw the rebellion as an opportunity to take revenge. He is in charge of security at a front-line base.
Attack: Effect:
Chameleon Sting Fires shots in 3 directions from the tip of his tail.
Transparent Movement Moves while invisible, making him invincible until he reappears.
Tongue Flick Attack Approaches and extends his tongue to hit X.
Thorn Rain Summons a rain of thorns from the top of the arena.

Profile: Commander of the 7th Airborne Unit. He initially fought against the rebel forces, but after losing in a confrontation with Sigma, he was subjugated. He took over an airport with a new type of aerial warship to block trade routes.

Profile: Commander of the 4th Land Unit. He participated in Sigma's rebellion to show off the full extent of his power. He controls a factory district, working to transform it into a large-scale weapons factory.
Attack: Effect:
Earthquake When landing from a jump, the tremor makes X fall to the floor.
Flame Shoots fire from his buster.
Oil Places oil on the floor, which burns if lit by a flame.

Profile: An SA-Class Maverick Hunter who was part of the 17th Unit, but was arrested for a dangerous abnormality in his electronic brain. Thanks to Sigma's rebellion, he is now free to cause as much destruction as he wants.

Dash Attack Dashes at high speed.
Head Bomb Drops a bomb above X's head, which splits along the floor.
Electroshock Shot Fires a lightning ball from his shoulder cannon. If it hits X, it paralyzes him.

Sigma Stage 1 Bospider
Weapon: None Weakness: Shotgun Ice
Profile: The guardian waiting at the end of Sigma Stage 1. It crawls along its webs at high speeds to devour all intruders. Its body is covered with durable armor, but it shows its weak point immediately after attacking.

Tackle Follows the route of the webs to crush X.
Mini Spiders Scatters four Petitpiders, which then climb the walls.

Profile: The guardian of Sigma Stage 2. Resembling a giant mural, the right eye, left eye, and nose all attack independently. It is a dangerous enemy, due to the instant death spikes in its chamber.

Green Eye Fires a single shot.

Blue Eye Charges towards X's current position.
Nose Bounces around the arena.

Profile: The guardian of Sigma Stage 3, a huge Mechaniloid resembling the head of a dinosaur. It is split into two parts, top and bottom, which attack independently. It moves quickly despite its large body.

Tackle The top or bottom part rushes forwards.
Sandwich Sandwich attack between the top and bottom parts.
Electroshock Shot Charges and fires an enormous lightning ball.

Profile: Sigma's faithful pet and one of his most trusted guardians. Using agile movements that are difficult to follow, it violently attacks intruders with flames and electricity.

Profile: Commander of the 17th Unit, and former senior officer of X. He was said to be the strongest Reploid in history due to his immense combat power and brilliant mind, but one day, he suddenly chose to eradicate humanity and started a rebellion.

Beam Saber Dashes and slashes with his beam saber.
Triangle Kick Ascends the walls in a triangular pattern.

Profile: A Mechaniloid that was being manufactured in a Maverick factory to conquer cities around the globe. Its enormous body may be intimidating, but its weight forces it to move slowly.

Profile: He once belonged to the 7th Airborne Unit, but lost his ability to fly in an accident and retired from the Hunters. However, Sigma became interested in his impressive foot speed and recruited him as a soldier. He now controls a missile base.

Charge Runs towards X.
Step Runs forwards while jumping.
Sonic Slicer (Lateral) Fires a single cutter aimed at X.
Sonic Slicer (Overhead) Rains down five cutters from the sky.
High Jump Leaps from the background to the foreground, landing on top of X.

Weather Control Stage Wire Sponge
Weapon: Strike Chain Weakness: Sonic Slicer
Profile: Affiliation unknown. Intel indicates that he is one of the Reploids constructed in Sigma's factories. With a cheerful disposition, he loves to dance, and carelessly changes the weather while occupying the climate control center.
Attack: Effect:
Strike Chain Extends his chain horizontally. If it hits a wall, he is pulled him towards it.
Hanging Hangs from the ceiling and scatters seeds. The seeds germinate into spikes when they land on a surface.
Lightning Strike Turns red and summons three lightning bolts. He is invincible for the duration of this attack.
Chain Spin Spins his chain at high speed, repelling X's attacks.

Dinosaur Tank Stage Wheel Gator
Weapon: Spin Wheel Weakness: Strike Chain
Profile: A former member of the 6th Naval Unit with a violent personality. Because he often injured his comrades, he was betrayed and persecuted as a criminal. As a servant of Sigma, he now relishes in destruction behind the wheel of a giant dinosaur tank.
Attack: Effect:
Spin Wheel (Underwater) Shoots a wheel while underwater, which climbs around the arena and falls.
Spin Wheel (Above Water) Shoots 2 wheels while above water, which bounce off the water's surface.
Biting Suddenly emerges from the water to bite X, continuously damaging him until he escapes.
Shot Devour Swallows X's shots and fires them back at him.
Charge Spins his body and charges forwards. When he hits a wall, the impact site becomes damaged.

Profile: Formerly part of the 6th Naval Unit. He was never on good terms with his colleague Wheel Gator, but became a servant of Sigma anyway, seeing it as a chance to strike it rich. He is in charge of transporting Mavericks from his submarine base.
Attack: Effect:
Mini Crabs Disperses small crabs in bubbles.
Vertical Jump Attacks with his pincers if X is above his head.
Bubble Splash Shoot a bubble shot horizontally.
Mini Crab Scatter Scatters a large number of small crabs.
Bubble Barrier Surrounds his body in a bubble to avoid X's attacks.

Profile: A former colleague of X's in the 17th Unit. He has concocted a plan to take control of a volcano and cover the whole Earth with ash, blocking the sun to plunge the planet into a new ice age.

Speed Burner (Tackle) Dashes coated in flames, sometimes ending in an uppercut.
Speed Burner (Projectile) Throws two fireballs, one low and one high.
Triangle Kick Wall kicks up the arena walls, then returns to the bottom.
Super Mode Once he has lost half his health, his flames turn blue and his attack speed increases.

Maverick Virus Pulls X in, sealing first his Charge Shot, then his dash, and then his jump.
Magnet Mine The end of his tail surrounds X, attacks, and returns.

Profile: Agile in a new flight form; apart from the face in the center of his fuselage, there is no trace of his original appearance. He reshapes the battlefield to limit movement, while firing electric shocks and missiles.

Block + Electric Shock Extends blocks horizontally and then drops them, at the same time creating electric shocks.
