Irregular Data
This article is a stub. You can help Mega Man Wiki by expanding it.

Irregular Data (イレギュラーデータ)[note 1] is a type of character appearing in Mega Man X DiVE. It is a portion of data in the Deep Log that has been corrupted by errors, manifesting as a Maverick-like program. They serve as the main antagonists and enemies of the game.
In the Games
Mega Man X DiVE
In the opening of Mega Man X DiVE, RiCO explains to the Player that corruption and other problems have naturally caused some program errors in the Deep Log over time. However, recently she has noticed an uptick in Irregular Data, and believes that there must be something causing it. The Player then begins to use Hunter Programs to fight Irregular Data, correcting it by defeating it in battle. As they progress, characters originally incapable of speech begin to speak, such as Mega Scorpio or Mole Borer. They also meet ViA, who gets his name from what the Irregular Data address him as. Upon fighting Mad Nautilus, he tells them that the existence of all this Irregular Data cannot simply be due to a glitch. They also meet iCO, who has some sort of authority over the Irregular Data.
Eventually, it is revealed that RiCO, ViA, iCO, and any character not originally from the Mega Man series are also technically considered Irregular Data.[1][2] Once the Player comes under attack by Droitclair, Angepitoyeir, and Eratoeir, RiCO begins questioning if they needed to be corrected or if they can just be friends. Fortunately, after correcting the three siblings, they are able to be saved as Hunter Programs. However, Erato reveals that the Robot Destroy Program (a.k.a. the Maverick Virus) has infected the Deep Log, and RiCO discovers that ViA is the manifestation of the Robot Destroy Program. ViA challenges the Player to destroy him to save the Deep Log, and they tragically do so. The Deep Log is apparently reverted back to its original state, only now RiCO and the others persist.
Bosses
Bosses are powerful Irregular Data. They are fought in an arena behind two doors, are preceded by a "WARNING" message, and have their own Life Energy gauge on the right side of the screen that overlaps itself multiple times to highlight their high amount of energy. Defeating certain bosses can also unlock a Chip. In Mega Man X DiVE Offline, bosses are fought in Story mode, Events, and the Jakob Orbital Elevator.

Removed in Offline
These bosses were unique to Co-op mode, Boss Challenges, crossover Events, or Raidboss Events. Because these modes were removed from Mega Man X DiVE Offline, any bosses exclusive to these modes were also removed and are no longer in the game. They are listed here for reference.

Mid-bosses
Mid-bosses are powerful enemies that aren't quite bosses. They are preceded by a "CAUTION" message instead of a "WARNING", and their Life Energy gauge is displayed directly above them, like it is for regular enemies. They are mostly faced in Story mode, though they do appear in certain Events and other modes.

Enemies are the smaller and weaker, but far more numerous, foes encountered throughout all game modes in the Deep Log. Most enemies also have multiple aesthetic variants, which are showcased on their respective pages.
