The Guardians (ガーディアン) is an organization appearing in the ZX era. It is a group of volunteer individuals who patrol the Outlands, investigating Maverick outbreaks and defending peripheral towns. The group was first formed by Ciel, and is under the leadership of Prairie in Mega Man ZX.

This is a comprehensive list of named Guardians, across the entire ZX era. Most members of the Guardians have names derived from French words relating to nature: males are named after fish, while females are named after plants. Some Hunters use the same generic art assets, and thus they have been separated into another table.

Prairie			A young-looking Reploid who is the commander of the Guardians in Mega Man ZX. She acts as the main Operator throughout the game. Her name is from "meadow" in French.
Vent/Aile			The Model X Biomatch and inheritor of Model Z. They join the Guardians to oppose Serpent in Mega Man ZX, and by the time of Mega Man ZX Advent they have become the new commander. Their names are from "wind" and "wing" in French.
Fleuve			The vice-commander and resident scientist of the Guardians. He is skilled at working with Biometal and manages the Database. His name is from "river" in French.
Girouette			The Model Z Biomatch and owner of Giro Express. He runs Giro Express by day, but is also secretly a Guardian who is a close friend of Prairie. His name is from "wind vane" in French.
Gardénia, Tulip, & Marguerite			The three Operators who run Guardian HQ. Their names are all from French flowers.
Silure			The head mechanic of the Guardians. His name is from "catfish" in French.
Anguille			An assistant mechanic to Silure. His name is from "eel" in French.
Scombrésoce			A nosy and awkward Guardian. His name is from "saury" in French.
Truite			A slow and careful Guardian. His name is from "trout" in French.
Congre			A timid and cowardly Guardian. His name is from "conger" in French.
Muguet			A rough but kind nurse Guardian. Her name is from "lily of the valley" in French.
Rose			A shy and quiet nurse Guardian. Her name is from the flower of the same name.
Thon			A large Reploid who is the brawn of the group. His name is from "tuna" in French.
Carrelet			A passionate and serious Guardian. His name is from "plaice" in French.
Hareng			A cool and perfectionistic Guardian. His name is from "herring" in French.
Sardine			A chipper and playful child Guardian. His name is from the fish of the same name.
Cédre			A harsh and hot-blooded Guardian. Her name is from "cedar" in French.
Serpent			The founder of Slither Inc. was formerly part of the Guardians. When his unit discovered Model W on a mission, he killed his allies to take it for himself, then covered up the incident.
Ciel		-	While never explicitly named, it is indicated that the founder of the Guardians was Ciel, from the Zero era. She mysteriously disappeared shortly after the Serpent incident.

Bar			One of the Guardians who accompanied Prairie to retrieve Model X. His name is from "sea bass" in French.
Dorado			One of the Guardians who was with Fleuve. He gives Vent/Aile the instructions for the test that they must pass to enter Guardian HQ. His name is from "sea bream" in French.
Marue			One of the Guardians who was with Fleuve. His name is from "cod" in French.
Sole			A Guardian in Area G for the "Fight the Mavericks" Quest. His name is from the fish of the same name.
Bonite			A Guardian in Area G for the "Fight the Mavericks" Quest. His name is from "skipjack" in French.
Oeillet			One of the four Guardians part of the test to enter Guardian HQ. Her name is from "carnation" in French.
Platane			A Guardian in Area G for the "Fight the Mavericks" Quest. Her name is from "plane tree" in French.
Chêne			A Guardian in Area G for the "Fight the Mavericks" Quest. Speaking to her later in Guardian HQ allows Aile to change the color of her outfit and hair. Her name is from "oak" in French.
