The Battle Network era is a fan-made term referring to media set in the fictional universe of Mega Man Battle Network, released in 2001 for the Game Boy Advance. It is the first era of the universe's alternate timeline set in 20XX, chronicling the adventures of Lan Hikari and his NetNavi companion, MegaMan.EXE, as they fight Viruses and other digital threats in Cyberspace.
