Raiders
The Raiders, known as Illegal Hunters (違法ハンター) in Japan, is a group appearing in Mega Man ZX Advent. It is a term used for any Hunters who refuse to get licenses and join the Hunter's Guild, dealing in technology and Maverick hunting on the black market instead. They often come into conflict with the Hunter's Guild, who have the support of the Legion government.
In the Games
Mega Man ZX Advent
In Mega Man ZX Advent, the Raiders appear as minor side characters. After the Tech Rush began, Legion created the Hunter's Guild, requiring all Hunters to become licensed before they did business. Those who refused to register became illegal actors known as Raiders.[1]
The Raiders are the ones who discovered Model A, resulting in Prometheus and a band of Mavericks raiding their air fleet. In Ashe's story, she is present during the raid in the stage Raider Pursuit, but is defeated by Prometheus along with the Raiders.
After the Maverick attack, the Raider airships crash into the Oil Field, where Grey/Ashe later arrives while searching for parts to repair the Train. When they learn that Atlas is planning to sacrifice the Raiders to Model W, Grey/Ashe decides to save them and fends her off. Wolff does not trust them, but once they copy Atlas and break his Ceratanium barrier, they make a deal to get replacement parts for the Train. Afterwards, Wolff thanks them for their kindness and promises to turn over a new leaf. From this point on, all Raiders are friendly towards Grey/Ashe and can be freely spoken to.

Trivia
- The symbol of the Raiders, seen on their airships, highly resembles the face of Red from Mega Man X7. This may be a nod to Red Alert, a similar illegal bounty hunting syndicate from the X era.
