A virus (ウイルス) is a type of malicious computer program that infects and modifies other computer programs.[1] Viruses appear in various forms across the Mega Man series.
In the Games
Classic era
In Mega Man 10, the virus Roboenza is a major plot point. Robots infected by it suffer symptoms similar to those a human suffers from an organic virus such as influenza, plus driving them to act disobediently and dangerously.
X era
In Mega Man X2, it is revealed that Sigma's true form is that of an immensely powerful virus called the Sigma Virus, which can infect Reploids to make them go Maverick.
Battle Network era
In the Mega Man Battle Network series, Viruses are the primary enemies that the player fights in the games.
Star Force era
In the Mega Man Star Force series, radio wave viruses called EM Viruses are the enemies of the games.
