Townspeople (町の人たち) are a kind of character appearing in the ZX era. They are the common civilians of Innerpeace, both Humanoid and Reploid, who simply try to live their lives in peace. They run businesses and offer Quests and information to the player.
In the Games
Mega Man ZX
In Mega Man ZX, Townspeople can mainly be found in Area C (Town). Several Townspeople in peril can be found in Area G (Fire Site) and Area I (Confinement), and after being rescued by the protagonist, they move to Area C. They are wary of Mega Men, assuming them to be Mavericks, which forces the player to cancel their Megamerge in order to speak to them without frightening them.
