Rolling (ローリング), also known as a Roll (ロール),[1] is a recurring technique in the Mega Man franchise. It is the ability to perform a low somersault for evasion or movement.
In the Games
X era
In the X era, Axl has the ability to Roll in all of his appearances. In Mega Man X7, it is performed by pressing the Dash button during a dash, granting him temporary invincibility for the duration. In Mega Man X8, it is performed by holding Down and pressing Dash, which gives him less invincibility and moreso makes him harder to hit.
