Usage
This is used in a very strange way across the wiki, as though the template is simply a shortcut for adding two categories. What it actually does is use the name of one category as the invisible sorting key when it puts it in the other. This is rarely useful, and usually leads to unexpected results like a template with no "C" in it being filed under "C" because it happens to also be in the "Cell templates" category. As the key is invisible, this makes no sense to the user unless they figure out that a) an autocat2 is being used, and b) exactly what other category name it's used with.
Pages not in the main space should just use the magic word {{PAGENAME}} as their sorting key, not the name of another category they happen to be in.--Vellidragon (talk) 00:27, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
