Tripropellan[1] is an enemy appearing in Mega Man 7. It is a mostly oval-shaped, blue and yellow robot that uses a propeller on its head to hover in place. It has three stationary cannons mounted to its front, each pointing in a different direction, and retractable side compartments containing bombs, granting it a variety of attack methods to alternate between.

Sprite from Mega Man 7.

In Mega Man 7, Tripropellans are common enemies, appearing in Cloud Man's stage, Junk Man's stage, Burst Man's stage, Spring Man's stage and all Dr. Wily stages apart from the final one. They hover in midair, bobbing up and down slightly, and periodically stop to use a variety of methods to attack Mega Man, depending on his position. If he is in range of the Tripropellan's cannons, it will periodically fire three shots in a row, which can come from any of its immovable cannons and also alternate between them, depending on which one is most likely to hit Mega Man; if he is below the enemy, it will instead drop two small bombs from its side compartments straight down on him, which explode, but deal the same amount of damage as shots from the cannons.

Destroying a Tripropellan causes its propeller to fly away, though unlike with the later Monopellan enemy, the effect is purely visual.
