Ring Man (or Ringman) is a Robot Master first appearing in Mega Man 4 and is one of the eight Robot Masters originally built by Dr. Cossack.

Ring Man is a red and black robot with many golden rings as part of his design, including one on each foot, several on his arms, one around his forehead and a small ring on top of his helmet. His power is to generate Ring Boomerangs, which can be thrown and return to him.

In the Games

Mega Man 4

Boss sprite from Mega Man 4.

In Mega Man 4, Ring Man is one of the main eight Robot Master bosses and appears as the first choice (in reading order) on the stage select screen. His stage is set around an odd glass structure with a slight space theme to it.

Ring Man has the ability to throw Ring Boomerangs, which travel a long distance before returning to him, only moving on horizontal and diagonal paths while doing so. His pattern is predictable, as he always throws one ring forward, jumps up and throws another, then runs across to the opposite side of the room. If Mega Man shoots at him too often while he is switching sides, he may throw another ring while walking, but does not otherwise change his pattern.

Ring Man's weakness is the Pharaoh Shot from Pharaoh Man, which deals only 2 damage when fired normally, but deals 6 when fully charged. Defeating him grants Mega Man the Ring Boomerang.

Battle Network era

Although Ring Man does not have a Net Navi with his name, a female Navi named Ring.EXE appears to be based on him. She appears in Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge as a playable Navi, alongside her operator, Mary.
