The Icarus Armor (イカロスアーマー) is a set of Armor Parts obtained from the Light Capsules in Mega Man X8.

Mega Man X8

The Icarus Armor debuted in Mega Man X8. It is a variation of the Neutral Armor that emphasizes offense and defense, such as reducing damage taken and adding a barrier to X's jump. It can be equipped one piece at a time, and can even be mixed with the parts of the Hermes Armor.

While all four Armor Parts of the Icarus Armor are equipped, X can use the Giga Crash. It functions the same as in other games, letting X expend all its Weapon Energy to attack all enemies on the screen.

Programs	Location	Effect
Helmet Parts I	Primrose	Grants the Head Attack (ヘディング攻撃), a blue barrier that surrounds X while ascending during a jump. It can damage enemies and destroy certain obstacles above X.
Body Parts I	Metal Valley	Reduces all damage received by 50% and removes recoil. All Life Energy that X loses turns red, meaning he can be switched out and recover that Energy. However, if X is switched back before all his red Energy bars are restored, the remaining red bars will be lost.
Buster Parts I	Noah's Park	Upgrades each of X's Charge Shots by one level; default shots become Lv.01 Charge Shots, Lv.01 becomes Lv.02, etc. It also upgrades X's fourth Charge Shot level to the Laser Charge Shot (レーザーチャージショット). When fired, it briefly suspends X in place to unleash a long, continuous laser that lasts several seconds.
Foot Parts I	Booster Forest	Doubles jump height.
